Sperm Cryopreservation
Sperm cryopreservation is the process in which sperm are collected or frozen for use in cases when men want to preserve their fertility for the future. This process is considered when men are about to undergo treatments that can affect fertility, including prostate surgery, cancer therapy or any other procedure that involves powerful radiation. During these procedures, the sperms are collected in the lab to analyze the volume, viscosity, sperm count, motility and other factors. Cryopreservation is done in two ways: slow freezing and rapid freezing.
